2018 Winners and Rabbits

The first King of the Hill of 2018 had a fairly decent turnout with double figures to start.  Without any one pilot dominating it was cut short with some pitiful wabbit hunting in the final round.   

As a result we only had 5 rounds over just about going over the 1 hour mark.

The 2nd part of the Saturday KOTH double header had 19 total pilots and lasted 10 rounds for about 2.5 hours! The first round was nearly 1/3 of the entire KOTH with the Ju 87D-3 lol.

The first running of February King of the Hill had a below average turnout but the fights were still well fought.  Wabbit hunting in the final round was again pretty poor, a 4 way fight where the 3 players opted to fight each other than kill the wabbit  :headscratch:!

We had 7 rounds and it lasted a little over 2 hours. Special mention to Silent 6 and 99capera's final 2 C202 fight that went on for an age.  I love watching those turning circle fights!  :aok

The first running of May King of the Hill had a good turnout to start with double firgures throughout  :aok.  This was in stark contrast to the previous 2 months where we didn't even have enough to run it!

We had 6 rounds in total, it could have gone on much longer if the pack didn't let the wabbit escape so easily.  The wabbit hunting is now almost at a point where I should take off and go after them!  :D Think I might just start doing that.

So I very nearly canned this running with 2 pilots who actually showed up on time but somehow we started with 4 then 6 then up to 8 we had 12 rounds in total over 2 hours of fighting with 5 wabbits going for a win!

Well done to those first timers who stuck at it, all the wabbits and Fuzeman who was a few bullets short of his 1st KOTH win!

The final round was the funniest finish to a KOTH I've ever witnessed with 2 wabbits who were fighting both enter stalls they couldnt get out of and then crashing one after the other.

KOTH-A lasted about 1 hour with only 4 participants which means a single wabbit. That also means the wabbit won so <S> and Congratulations to TC for the victory. He chose the F4U-1 for next months first ride.

October's first KOTH was a blast with many different twists. First and most importantly we had 16 people flying in the first round and it almost, well got close, not even that but lasted over an hour and a half. We only had 5 rounds so I think the wabbit got into the ordinance locker and sabotaged the opponents ammo. Just kidding Violator, you had some hard fights and deserved the win<S> and congratulations. One twist, CM wise, was we had the CM who originally trained me way back, BigMax, attend and even a CM that I trained back then also, CrazyMan aka Mols.  One big missing piece was of course the in tower chatter that should have gone along with the D3A1 fight, the last one, and even the four before it but tha's for the wish list :)

Turnout was pretty good for this running with 10 starting and we went 7 rounds.  Some good fights across the bowl.

KOTH's 2018 TOC was packed with good dog fights and getting to the point, Congratulations to Violator for the victory {S}. He was the wascallyist    :confused:  , er most wascally   :eek:  , of the three wabbits we had after one hour and fifty minutes of fighting. Wabbit hunting was on display as once we had one he was also the first plane shot down the next two rounds which evidently made him hungry as he was the winner. We did only have 5 people at most but that seems usual now days and we flew 8 different rides. I have to say ride selection helped provide some great fights also. After much cogitation, the P-47D11 was settled upon as the 2019 TOC first plane.
